Men's Wedding Rings

Looking at men’s wedding rings and trying to pick out the right ones is not as easy as it may seem. Depending on your mans likes and dislikes this may be a more daunting task than you ever imagined. There are many choices available for men’s wedding rings and knowing what they like or do not like is just the tip of the iceberg when choosing one.

Men’s wedding rings are available in many different types of metals. There are platinum, titanium, various shades of gold, and silver. Titanium and platinum make a great choice over silver for their added strength and durability over silver or white gold if that is the look you are going for. Although titanium is not a precious metal like the others listed it is trusted by NASA for its attributes. Titanium is the perfect choice for men’s wedding rings when your man works with his hands and may be a little rougher on jewelry than someone who works in an office style setting.

If you choose men’s wedding rings with diamonds or other gemstones you will need to choose the type of setting those stones are in. Some of the setting choices may include bezel settings, channels setting, and tension settings. Most wedding rings including men’s wedding rings do not use the prong setting. Those are generally saved for the engagement rings.

Men’s wedding rings often do not include any diamonds or gemstones at all. Some men do not like that glitz and sparkle that gemstone will have and prefer the more subtle design of a carved or engraved band. These plainer bands are available in many styles as well, making your choice even harder. There are men’s wedding rings that are made from one type of metal and inlaid with another creating a two-tone wedding band. Men’s tungsten wedding bands are becoming more popular these days as well. This industrial use metal is making a grand entrance into wedding rings designs. It had a shine and luster that is unsurpassed by any other metal on the jewelry making market today.

There are sets that include both men’s wedding rings and woman’s wedding rings. Generally, these rings are identical except that the men’s is thicker. The sets are a foolproof choice in making sure the designs, and colors are a perfect match to each ring. It is like wedding ring shopping for dummies.
